1. Who we are
This policy explains how Kodaksh Private Limited (“hunr”, “we”), with its registered office at 69 KIAL Road, Bellary Rd, Vinayakanagar, Kodigehalli, Byatarayanapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560024, handles personal data on the hunr platform at hunr.ai. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, including the SPDI Rules, 2011 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, role, and organization details you provide when signing up.
- Resume and profile data — if you upload a resume or connect LinkedIn, we store the file and parse it into structured profile fields (experience, education, skills) to build your candidate profile.
- GitHub data — when you sign in with GitHub or install our GitHub App, we receive your GitHub identity and, for challenge submissions, access to the specific repositories the App is installed on. We do not get access to your other repositories.
- Assessment data — your challenge submissions (code), test results, analysis reports, and reasoning-defense transcripts.
- Usage data and cookies — see section 5.
3. How we use data
- To provide the Service: run challenges, grade submissions, produce reports, and share those reports with the organization whose challenge you took.
- To operate accounts, billing, and support.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent assessment fraud.
- To improve the Service, using aggregated or de-identified data where feasible.
4. AI processing disclosure
Core parts of the Service are powered by large language models operated by third-party AI providers. Content you submit for assessment — including parsed resume text, challenge code, and reasoning-defense responses — is sent to those providers strictly to provide the Service (generation, grading, analysis, and report synthesis). We use providers under agreements that restrict them from using this data to train their models. AI outputs (scores, reports) are decision support for the hiring organization; the hiring decision is made by people, not by the system.
5. Cookies
We use first-party cookies that are necessary to operate the Service — primarily httpOnly session cookies that keep you signed in, and a preference cookie for your theme. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- hiring organizations — the organization whose challenge you take sees your profile, submission, scores, and reports (candidates see their own full report too);
- service providers — cloud hosting, storage, payment processing (PayU), email delivery, and the AI providers in section 4, each bound to process data only on our instructions;
- authorities — where required by law or to protect the Service, its users, or the public.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Retention
We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above. Assessment records are retained so that scores stay auditable for the hiring processes they were part of; billing records are retained as required by tax law. You can request deletion of your account and data (section 8), subject to those legal retention requirements.
8. Your rights
You may access and update your profile from your account, and you may write to us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to a use of your data. We respond within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
9. Security
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures for the data we hold: encryption in transit, encrypted secrets management, role-based access controls, and isolated execution environments for candidate code. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users and authorities of breaches as required by law.
10. Grievance officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, the contact details of our Grievance Officer are:
- Name: Amartya Gaur
- Email: [email protected]
- Address: 69 KIAL Road, Bellary Rd, Vinayakanagar, Kodigehalli, Byatarayanapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560024
