Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Kodaksh Private Limited (“hunr”, “we”, “us”), the operator of the hunr technical hiring platform at hunr.ai (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.

hunr is a technical hiring platform built on an agent-allowed, understanding-verified model:

• Organizations publish coding challenges that are generated with the assistance of AI systems from the organization’s role requirements, and reviewed by the organization before going live.
• Candidates complete challenges in their own GitHub repositories and may use AI coding assistants while doing so.
• Submissions are evaluated by automated test suites and AI-assisted analysis, followed by a live, unaided reasoning defense. Scores and reports are produced with the assistance of AI and are decision support for organizations — the hiring decision itself is always made by the organization, not by hunr.

We may add, change, or retire features of the Service as it evolves. Where a change materially reduces functionality that an organization has prepaid for, the Refund & Cancellation Policy applies.

Candidates sign up individually (including via GitHub). Organization accounts are operated by their members under roles the organization controls. You are responsible for your credentials, for the accuracy of the information on your account, and for all activity under it. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.

• Organizations buy prepaid challenge credits in packs at the prices published on our pricing page. One credit is consumed when one challenge is published.
• Unused credits do not expire.
• Credits are refundable only as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider (PayU). Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST), which are charged additionally where required.

• Prepaid challenge credits are non-contingent: they pay for generating and running assessments and are owed regardless of whether you hire anyone.
• Separately, a contingency placement feeapplies when an organization hires a candidate through hunr. The fee is a percentage of the hired candidate’s first-year fixed annual compensation(base salary and fixed allowances, excluding variable pay, bonuses, and equity), at the rate of the organization’s credit-pack tier: 10% (Starter), 7% (Team), or 4% (Scale). Enterprise rates are as agreed in writing. Where an organization has purchased multiple packs, the rate of its most recent purchase at the time of the hire applies.
• A candidate is hired through hunrwhen the organization hires (as employee or contractor, directly or indirectly) a candidate whose submission to one of the organization’s challenges was assessed on the Service, and the hire occurs within 12 months of that assessment.
• Organizations agree to notify us promptly of such hires. We invoice the placement fee with a payment link; it is payable within 30 daysof the candidate’s start date. The fee is exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST).
• No hire, no fee — if you do not hire through hunr, you owe nothing beyond the credits you have used.

You agree not to:

• share, publish, or solicit hidden test suites, grading rubrics, or reference solutions, or otherwise attempt to defeat the integrity of an assessment;
• impersonate another person, or have another person (or a fully autonomous system) complete the unaided reasoning defense on your behalf;
• probe, disrupt, or overload the Service, or access data or accounts you are not authorized to access;
• use the Service to discriminate against candidates on grounds protected by applicable law, or use candidate data for any purpose other than the hiring process it was collected for;
• upload malicious code or unlawful content.

Using AI coding assistants to complete the build phase of a challenge is expressly allowed — that is the point of the platform. The reasoning defense must be completed unaided.

Code that a candidate writes in their own repository for a challenge remains the candidate’s(subject to any license of the underlying challenge template). By submitting, the candidate grants hunr a limited license to clone, execute, analyze, and excerpt that code to grade the submission and produce reports, and grants the organization that published the challenge a license to view those reports and excerpts for its hiring process. Challenge templates, briefs, and hidden tests remain hunr’s (or its licensors’) property and are confidential.

The Service — including the platform software, challenge generation and grading systems, rubrics, reports format, and branding — is owned by Kodaksh Private Limited or its licensors. These Terms grant you no rights in it except the limited right to use the Service as intended. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.

The Service is provided “as is”. AI-assisted generation and grading are probabilistic: we work to make scores consistent and evidence-linked, but we do not warrant that any score, report, or challenge is error-free, and we make no warranty about the outcome of any hiring decision. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our aggregate liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or INR 10,000 if you have paid us nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms (including assessment-integrity violations), with notice where practicable. On termination, prepaid credits are handled per the Refund & Cancellation Policy; sections 5, 7–10 and 12 survive (including the placement fee for hires within the section 5 window).

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory law to the contrary, the courts at Bengaluru, India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service.
